Top holiday party ideas to spread cheer
Charity over gifts
This year Houston, Texas-based financial planner Jason McGarraugh with Neal Financial made the decision to allocate the firm’s event budget of $4,000 to charity in lieu of the in-person party.
“I sent out a call to action to my clients and we compiled a list of 10 charities with an emphasis on Houston based organizations,” he said. “I will be making a $400 donation to each of them.”
Francis Financial will also be donating to charities on behalf of their clients to replace sending clients gifts this year, according to President and CEO Stacy Francis. The firm is donating to the World Health Organization COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and the American Red Cross - Western Wildfires relief.
“Along with a donation, we will also be purchasing beautiful living art from Luludi to bring some warmth and brightness in everyone’s home this holiday season,” Francis said.
