Top holiday party ideas to spread cheer
Personal connections
“Sometimes cheer is the reduction of stress and we really need that right now,” said Catalina Franco-Cicero, an adviser with Tobias Financial Advisors in Plantation, Florida.
To help reduce stress and give a holiday gift that lifts people’s spirits, Franco-Cicero suggests writing to clients and sharing three things their advisers admire most about them.
“One of the most meaningful gifts I have seen is a poster with a person’s name and everyone writes what they love about them,” she said. “Most people will hang it on their walls. Really, how many times do you have anyone tell you what they love about you? Talk about lifting someone's spirits!”
For example, an adviser may write, “everyone can have money, but you are kind and considerate and want to protect your family. You care about charities.” Or “I really respect or love this about you….”
“It's really about connecting and making people feel connected,” she said.
