Jeff Benjamin wins Eddie Award for series on adviser niches

Eddie Award

The award from Folio Magazine recognizes journalism excellence.

InvestmentNews senior columnist Jeff Benjamin has won a 2022 Eddie Award from Folio magazine for his series of articles about unusual market niches that financial advisers have carved out, ranging from wealthy widows to blended families, fitness coaches and adult entertainers.

“We’re very happy to see Jeff get the recognition he deserves for this terrific series. He conceived it and was able to bring it to life due to the close relationships he’s developed over many years in the adviser community,” said Paul Curcio, InvestmentNews editor-in-chief. “Niche Adviser is proof of InvestmentNews’ commitment to covering not just the events that shape this industry but the people behind them.”

Folio specializes in the coverage of publishing. Benjamin won the award in the category of best series of business-to-business articles.

“Niche Adviser has been a fun series,” he said. “I learn something new with each profile I write. I hope it helps advisers to find and develop their own niche.”
